The Pacific during WW11

Island Hopping was our strategy during WWII to control the pacific. We didn't have the power to control it all in one big campaign so we had to take it island by island attacking the enemies week points and slowly moving our way toward Japan. With general MacArthur in command of the pacific force it started at the island of Nimitz then to The Battle of Midway then Guadalcanal and so on until we were on the doorstep of Japan.
